The XR240E rotary drilling rig is a part of the company’s new generation of medium-tonnage E-series products. Building upon the mature XR220D, it offers increased power and system flow to enhance operational efficiency. Large structural components have been optimized, incorporating elements such as an I-beam structure for the rotating platform, a double-acting large parallelogram luffing mechanism, a segmented plate thickness-style drilling mast, and a vertical-pin-style power head support, all contributing to improved stability and reliability during operations.

This drilling rig is widely used for boring operations for concrete pouring piles in the construction of highways, railways, bridges, and large venues, making it especially suitable for civil and industrial building projects. It employs either interlocking or friction Kelly bars in conjunction with sand-grab buckets, barrel drills, or short spiral augers for rotational drilling. Additionally, it can be outfitted with long spirals, dual power heads, casing oscillators, and other working devices for construction.

Highlights of the XR240E Rotary Drilling Rig

1. Multifunctionality: Capable of quick switching between functions such as cylinder pressurization, winch pressurization, casing oscillator, long auger, and dual power head, to meet a variety of different construction project needs;

2. Equipped with an Isuzu electronic control turbocharged engine that consumes less fuel and offers convenient and quick servicing;

3. The performance of the power head and the main winch has been improved by 20%, resulting in higher operational efficiency;

4. The power head can be equipped with a torque multiplier (optional), reaching a casing driving torque of 360 kN·m, and enhanced ability to lower the casing.

5. Both the main and auxiliary winches use single-layer rope technology, extending the wire rope life by 2-4 times compared to multi-layer ropes, thus reducing the cost of use;

6. The double-acting large parallelogram luffing mechanism provides a larger support angle and an increased support range by 16%, ensuring more stable operations;

7. The hydraulic main system adopts negative flow control technology, offering rapid response and excellent control performance;

8. A high-power temperature-controlled independent hydraulic oil cooler is installed, suitable for construction in high-temperature areas, capable of adjusting fan speed with temperature changes to achieve energy savings;

9. The intelligent control system enables automatic adjustment and display of mast verticality, automatic rotation, automatic soil discharge, automatic lifting and pouring with long auger techniques, and pile type display, utilizing a bus panel design to minimize operating errors;

10. The undercarriage can be equipped with transport legs (optional) for remote control operation, making transport and transfer easier and safer.
