XCMG XR168E rotary drilling rig is a new-generation small-tonnage model in our E-series product line. Upgraded from the well-proven XR160E, it features optimized matching between the electro-hydraulic system and engine system, effectively enhancing working efficiency and construction performance.
To deliver higher stability and reliability, the XR168E adopts a full set of optimized heavy-duty structural components, including an I-beam structure slewing platform, double jib parallelogram luffing mechanism, and segmented thick-plate drilling mast.
This rig is widely used for cast-in-place concrete pile hole-forming operations in roads, railways, bridges, large venues and other infrastructure projects. It is especially suitable for industrial and civil building construction.
The XR168E can be equipped with mechanical interlocking or friction Kelly bars, and works efficiently with various drilling tools such as sand drilling buckets, tubular drills and short spiral drills. It also supports CFA and dual rotary drive systems for wider construction adaptability.

1.With a maximum output torque of 168kN·m and a maximum speed of 38 r/min, the rotary drive can work more efficiently.
2.The double jib parallelogram luffing mechanism has a large support angle and a 24% increase in support range, which makes the operation more stable.
3.Cummins electronically controlled turbocharged engine has strong power and higher fuel adaptability, making the service convenient and efficient.
4.The main hydraulic system adopts negative flow control technology and large displacement main pump with low speed engine, which has lower fuel consumption and higher efficiency.
5.The intelligent control system realizes automatic adjustment & display of mast verticality, automatic soil shake-off, automatic forward & reverse rotation of rotary drive for spin-off, and ground-touching protection, making the whole machine more intelligent and the operation more convenient and safer.
6.With a large diameter slewing bearing, the TDP series hydraulic crawler chassis dictated for rotary drilling rigs ensures better working stability.
7.The whole machine can be transported without removing Kelly bar, which is convenient and efficient.

It adopts XCMG TDP series retractable crawler chassis dictated for rotary drilling rigs which has high structural strength, large diameter slewing bearing and superior stability. The most mature dictated chassis for rotary drilling rigs in the industry has been applied to more than 2,000 piling equipment.

The front-placed main and auxiliary winch both adopt multi-layer rope technology. The automatic soil shake-off function improves the spin-off efficiency of small diameter drilling tools. The main winch meets M6-T5 working conditions, and the standard double-layer rope is enough for 56m drilling depth.

Mechanical interlocking and friction Kelly bars are optional for XR168E rotary drilling rig. Mechanical interlocking Kelly bar is suitable for rock formations and friction Kelly bar is suitable for soil formations. There are four-section mechanical interlocking Kelly bar and five-section friction Kelly bar.

The segmented-plate thick box-type design of high-strength material combines strength and rigidity. It is equipped with double jib large parallelogram luffing mechanism to obtain larger support range, support angle and more stable operations.

Anti-noise cab with FOPS function is equipped with air conditioner, internal and external lighting, windshield wiper with water spray function, etc. Large skylight design provides a good view; upper protective net can be opened for easy cleaning. The seat, display screen and monitor screen can be adjusted to provide the operator with a comfortable working environment.
9. Electrical system
Rexroth RC28-14 controller and Hirschmann 10.4-inch displayer are adopted; the page layout takes full consideration of humanization and convenience; hierarchical processing is adopted, where data calibration and parameter modification require different permissions; inclination, pressure and other sensors are all imported; wiring harness adopts knitting technology to be waterproof and wear-resistant; gadgets like rubber are applied to connectors to ensure waterproof performance.
