Product Introduction
The Long-Range Fluid Pressure Transducer (FPT) provides standard sensor data available with other F5® sensors, plus fluid pressure readings in the borehole (Pressure range: 0–250 psi or 0–1725 kPa).
The pressure transducer is located in the nose cap with two sensor ports on each side of the clock face indicator slot.
All DigiTrak® F5® sensors provide depth, inclination, and facing angle data with 0.1% inclination sensitivity, and facing angle data is transmitted in a 24-hour clock format.
The FPT sensor is for use only with the F5® Locating System and is identical in size to all other DigiTrak® sensors.
All battery-powered DigiTrak® sensors automatically enter sleep mode if left stationary for 15 consecutive minutes.

Sensor Housing Requirements
For optimal signal transmission strength and battery life, the fluid pressure sensor housing must have a minimum of three signal bleed slots equally spaced around the housing circumference.
Slot width must be a minimum of 1/16 in or 0.0625 in (1.6 mm). Signal bleed slot length must be measured from the inner layer of the housing.

The FPT sensor must have a fluid path from the outer housing ring to the four fluid pressure sensor ports located in the nose of the FPT sensor.
If the signal bleed slots on the housing are filled with epoxy, a 0.125 in (3 mm) diameter hole must be drilled.
